examples of what we do

Wellness

Providing critical resources to support the mental and physical health of officers and support staff by providing access to counseling services, fitness programs, and trainings that help reduce burnout and lead to more resilient and committed personnel.

Resources

Funding essential tools and equipment that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of law enforcement operations and acquiring advanced technology and equipment to supply the necessary resources for officers to serve their communities.

Regional Support

The law enforcement community is one large family, and funds can be donated to assist spouses/families and departments during a large-scale crisis or line of duty death. This is a way for us to show support to our partner agencies who show up for us and our community in our times of need.

Training

Access to trainings that enhance skills and knowledge, ensuring officers are well-prepared to handle diverse and complex situations. By investing in continuous education and professional development, foundation funds help create a more competent and effective law enforcement workforce.

Community Engagement

Fostering stronger relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve by supporting initiatives such as neighborhood and community events, and educational workshops to promote a more inclusive environment, enhancing public safety and community well-being.

Fundraising

Foundation funds can be used to provide further fundraising opportunities with the creation of events and merchandise that both the community and law enforcement can purchase to help further our goals.

Patrol K9 Program

In 2021, Community Members approached the Bothell Police Department and expressed interest in donating toward the purchase of a police dog. This was very important to them as they specifically wanted to help the department in the purchase of a police dog. At the time our Police Foundation did not exist, and if a donation was made, it could be made to the City, with the City having the ultimate say in how the funds are used. This is part of the reason a lot of agencies have a non-profit police foundation. We also had community members who wanted to assist the Bothell Police Department with the creation of a foundation. So, it was with this member’s wish to donate towards a police K-9 and the community’s desire to start a foundation, that one was created, and we were able to accept the very generous donation that helped us acquire Police Dog Ro.
